About Zephras
Zephras is a free database for WoW Forever, run by the Zephras team as a fan project. It is under development: pages and data are still being added.
Where the data comes from
- The game's own files
- Items, spells, classes, races, talents, professions, zones, and maps, read from the WoW Forever client files of build 1.60.1.70374. Each record page names the build its data comes from.
- The game's caches
- Quest text, NPC names, and object names that the game server sent to players' clients and the game saved on their computers, shared through the Zephras Uploader.
- Players
- What the Zephras Collector addon records during ordinary play: where NPCs are seen and stand, what drops from what, who gives which quest. A record appears once a trusted player or two players agree.
"Not recorded yet" means no player has recorded it so far, not that it does not exist. Every published fact carries three dates where it applies: when it was observed, when the upload was accepted, and when the page was built (the footer).
How to help
Play with the Zephras Collector addon and send its file on the upload page, or let the Zephras Uploader install the addon and send the file for you. Spot wrong data? Use the feedback page; every page links it with its own address filled in.
Talk with other players and the team on the Zephras Discord: help with the addon, bug reports, and data corrections.
Changes to the site
- Mount and pet pages added, weapon lists now show Damage, DPS and a usable‑level filter, NPC/quest tooltips link to their pages, and spell search lists ranks.
- A Collector page on zephras.com now lists quick links, what it records, upload steps, and help information.
- A Zephras Discord server for questions, bug reports, and data corrections, linked at the foot of every page.
- Dungeon and raid pages with their bosses in order and their quests.
- A search results page: press Enter to see every match, filtered by kind.
- Quest pages show the whole quest chain.
- Item pages and tooltips show damage, speed, damage per second, armor, and stats, computed from the game files and checked against the game's own tooltips.
- Quest pages show reputation rewards, including the share the game gives related factions.
- Spell pages link a spell's other ranks; each item quality has its own page.
- Test and placeholder records are hidden from lists and search; each list can show them.
- Accepted uploads reach the site every morning on their own.
- Zephras Collector 1.0 and the Zephras Uploader for Windows, macOS, and Linux, which installs and updates the addon.
- Quest givers on faction pages, NPC tables per zone, class, and race, and icons with tooltips in every list.
- A page for every item and spell in the game files, the talent calculator for all nine classes, and in-game maps for every zone.
